Nights in White Satin (fingerstyle guitar) TAB AVAILABLE, READ ON...This is another Naudo transcription, made easier for me. I still can't master his finger upstroke/downstroke with moving bassline technique, but this piece is kinda helping me. It loses a lot of its passion because I'm not that clean from strum to fingerpick, but I think you all get the idea of what I am trying to achieve.I had been working on this one for around a month, it still needs a lot of work, especially trying to play 1xx215! Man that is a stretch! TAB AVAILABLE, READ ON...Using influences from Naudo and Tommy I had another look at "Breathe" by Pink Floyd, from DSOTM. 3 main points - I've kept a slow and steady bassline going all the way through at about 1 beat per second to get that relaxed heartbeat feel Pink Floyd achieved. The lyrics are played as a simple single string melody and I put in some Gilmour type frills to fill out the middle.Anyway, I hope my Floyd fans will appreciate this one - and give it a try, after a few beers when you are nice'n'relaxed it is a perfect chill-out piece!Sheet music available at:http://jaw.iinet.net.au/stuff/tab.htmlEnjoy,JAW |

TAB AVAILABLE, READ ON...This is a nice kinda classical kinda fingerstyle arrangement of a movie theme by the Italian composer Ennio Morricone (Good Bad Ugly/Fistfull of dollars/etc). A clever chap called Rene Puchinger tabbed it up in 2002, I started hacking it further in 2005 to make it a bit more playable for me. There are several people on youtube playing it all with a slightly different touch.It is rather hard to play cleanly on the acoustic steel string - too much barring - so I piked out and played it on the electric instead. Well, it is the first time I've used the electric on youtube, a change is as good as a holiday...I added a bit of after effect reverb and graphic to make it sound a more roomy. Yeah, there is a video cut'n'shut about halfway through; I didn't play it cleanly enough in one take so I spliced a bit out.
